You work as an independent researcher in a large team, addressing academic questions in the policy and practice domain of purchasing and supply management. You undertake a range of projects from small, solo studies to contributing to collaborative projects with international consortia. You can bridge between academic research results and impactful purchasing practice and societal challenges, and publish research results in high quality international refereed journals. You also have a positive approach to building networks and attracting external funding targeted at hiring junior researchers (PhD and PDEng positions), for whom you will become the daily supervisor.
You will teach procurement courses covering industrial/manufacturing, public and health sectors. You will contribute to developing the future path for the department’s growing purchasing programmes. We offer a purchasing specialisation in the BSc “International Business Administration”, a purchasing and supply management track in the MSc Business Administration programme, PSM courses for MSc Health Sciences, MSc and BSc Industrial Engineering Management, and negotiation training in an additional Honours programme, as well as guest lectures on a wide variety of courses for other programmes across several faculties. All courses are taught and assessed in English.
You will contribute to our private and public procurement research and contribute to developing the future path for the department’s growing purchasing programs. We offer a purchasing specialisation in the BSc “International Business Administration”, a PSM track in the MSc Business Administration programme, a PSM course for MSc Health Sciences, and an Honours programme in Negotiating, as well as guest lectures on a wide variety of courses for other programmes across several faculties.
You will be appointed in the Entrepreneurship and Technology Management (ETM) section within HBE. Our ETM research has four main themes: Resilient Supply Networks, Regional Ecosystems Development, Enterprise & Society, and High-tech Transformation of Industry. Also, you become part of one of the largest teams in the purchasing field:
- Established, large, cross-faculty group of PSM experts;
- Hosts the cross-faculty European Laboratory – Innovative Purchasing and Supply (EL-IPS);
- Looking to add new areas of expertise and/or build on existing strengths;
