The position
You will have the opportunity to analyse synergies and trade-offs between water use and further environmental interferences caused by agricultural and industrial product systems. Besides this applied research orientation, you are encouraged to develop and advance methodological tools to consistently assess water consumption and pollution along with other environmental impacts. You are welcome to build your own research line at the intersection of water footprint and life cycle assessment. The goal is to combine and enhance the strengths of both approaches in assessing water efficiency and local impacts along global supply chains.
Besides conducting innovative research and actively acquiring national and international research funding, you will act as daily supervisor to PhD students, teach in bachelor and master level courses, guide students during their bachelor’s and master’s thesis projects, and engage in management tasks.
