As a Facility & Equipment Engineer, you ensure that our unique research environment operates flawlessly. From maintaining and optimising installations to guiding new equipment projects, you keep the overview, coordinate contractors, and ensure that researchers and high-tech companies can work at the highest level.
Your role:
In this diverse position, you work hands-on in the cleanroom environment while also managing technical and project-based tasks. You will be responsible for:
Operational & technical management
- Planning and coordinating regular building and installation maintenance, including managing subcontractors
- Supervising external maintenance parties
- Carrying out general cleanroom tasks such as welcoming guests, supporting cleanroom users, and starting up or shutting down the cleanroom
Technical troubleshooting & engineering
- Systematically analyzing and resolving technical malfunctions
- Initiating and coordinating projects for the replacement, improvement, and sustainability upgrades of building installations
- Preparing and supervising the installation of new equipment in the NanoLab
- Developing a thorough understanding of installation and maintenance requirements and performing first-line maintenance
Broader facility involvement
- Your focus will be on the MESA+ NanoLab, but you may also provide facility support to the High Tech Factory when needed.
