We hereby advertise a post-doc position in operator theory and complex analysis with connections to numerical linear algebra at the University of Twente for a duration of 13 months starting in Spring 2026. The research is centered around spectral sets for (specific classes of) operators on finite- and infinite-dimensional spaces and, in particular, numerical ranges of matrices. The position will be supervised by Dr. Felix Schwenninger.
The position will be embedded in the MAST chair (F Schwenninger) within the cluster “Mathematical Analysis, Geometry, Numerics and Systems” (MAGNUS) of the Department of Applied Mathematics. The project “Optimal Constants as Analytic Benchmarks” is financed by the Dutch Research Organization (NWO).
