As a rubber testing engineer, you will work in the Elastomer Technology Engineering ETE being part of the Department Mechanics of Solids Surfaces and Systems MS3, Faculty of Engineering Technology. The ETE group has modern, well-equipped laboratories with standard as well as special-purpose testing machines for the production and characterization of rubber compounds.
ETE is seeking a Rubber Testing Engineer for a full-time position to be responsible for all devices to produce and characterize rubber compounds and to train researchers and students to use all devices.
Job specification
As Rubber Testing Engineer, you are responsible for the daily operational, safety and maintenance aspects of the equipment to produce and characterize rubber as well as characterize the raw ingredients of rubber.
For this, you will:
- support researchers and students in the setup and execution of experiments;
- design and build support structures for unique experiments;
- carry out own experiments to characterize raw ingredients as well as to produce and characterize rubber compounds to guarantee the well-functioning of all devices.
