Feeling with student sports
Student life, study pressure, exams and internships can have an impact on the performance and presence of players and team. The new trainer/coach is expected to be able to deal with this well. In addition, training courses can be offered by you (partially) in English if the group requests it. The association has international students.
Participation, presence, team player
The board of DHC Drienerlo believes it is important that the trainers are involved in the association by maintaining regular contact with fellow hockey trainers and the selection teams. This includes showing interest on Sunday in the performance of other teams and attendance at events and tournaments organized by the association and department of sports and culture of the University of Twente.
Enthusiasm, passion and ambition
As a new [(head) coach for the Men’Training Team, you show initiative, are enthusiastic and able to challenge the selection of DHC Drienerlo on a technical-tactical level. As a trainer, you know how to motivate people and get the best out of themselves. You want to continuously improve the team, the individual and yourself and are not afraid to come up with new ideas in the direction of the association, but also in the direction of the organization.
Collaborate, team player, colleague
As a trainer of DHC Drienerlo you will be appointed within a broad team of sports teachers/trainers and coaches across more than 30 sports. These sports teachers are enthusiastic and proactive team players who serve as an example for student athletes and student board members. You will be part of the Campus and Facility Management service department, the Sports & Culture department. The team of Sports Instructors is responsible for high-quality sports education and regularly initiates moments of further training, intervision and team building. You are part of this.

About the department
Of course, a student life consists of more than studying. Sports and cultural activities are also an important form of leisure activity to develop as a student and to have fun with others.
The University of Twente (UT) has the most beautiful campus in the Netherlands, where students (and staff) can live, work and study and also develop themselves in the field of sports and culture. The campus has a range of sports facilities, such as an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, fitness center, climbing wall, various halls for indoor sports, hockey, softball and soccer fields, an athletics track and beach volleyball courts. The UT has 45 sports clubs.
Many cultural activities also take place on campus. Concerts, lectures, cabaret, dance performances, exhibitions and courses, for example. There is an art library, library, radio and production studio, there are studios, rehearsal and ballet studios. There are currently 16 different cultural associations. Just like the sports associations, all cultural associations are managed by students.
The Sports Centre is located on campus and is the base for the vast majority of the student sports offer. Due to the large number of international students and staff, the language of communication with the target group(s) on campus is largely English.
About the organisation
